ELIGIBILITY
Anyone who wants to start learning Korean from scratch. Perfect for complete beginners. No experience needed.
You will learn Hangul, pronunciation, and simple Korean for everyday conversation. In our small-group classes, you will receive individual feedback and support in every lesson.

ELIGIBILITY
Anyone who has studied Korean before, can read Hangul confidently, and has some experience with basic grammar such as tense, negation, and numbers, even if you feel you’ve forgotten some of it.
This course reviews essential grammar and helps you use Korean more comfortably in conversation. Through structured speaking activities in small groups, you will practise introducing yourself, asking and answering questions, and building confidence in everyday Korean conversation.

Pre-Intermediate – Speaking Builder
ELIGIBILITY
Suitable for learners who have studied basic Korean grammar and can use present, past, and future tenses with basic particles. You should already be familiar with expressions such as negation, ability, obligation, requests, and suggestions.
In this course, we build on this foundation by learning more advanced grammar and practising speaking Korean more confidently through conversation activities. Our small-group classes focus on helping you express opinions, intentions, and experiences in Korean.

📚 Grammar Basics Refresher
If you’re joining Beginner 2 or higher, we’ll build on these fundamentals from day one. Please take a few minutes to review the pages below before class starts — they cover the core grammar every UKEH course beyond Beginner 1 assumes you already know.
If any of this feels unfamiliar, don’t worry — Beginner 1 (Absolute Beginner) is a great place to start or review these basics before moving on.
Korean Sentence Structure
Korean follows Subject–Object–Verb order, not Subject–Verb–Object like English. Understanding this word order is essential before you can build more complex sentences with connectors and clauses.
