At UKEH, studying Korean society through the news offers meaningful insights into Korean culture, politics, economics, and current events. In our Advanced classes, news articles are used as engaging prompts for discussion, helping you expand vocabulary, improve comprehension, and express your ideas more clearly and confidently in Korean.
Although the course is primarily speaking-focused, learners preparing for TOPIK II will also have the opportunity to practice formal writing, an essential skill for the exam.

Eligibility: Anyone who has finished at least Sejong 4B or equivalent.

Discuss Korean Society Through the News
Students watch selected Korean news stories before class and discuss them together during the lesson. They practise describing social issues, explaining what is happening and expressing their own opinions clearly in Korean.
